This past June, I had the absolute honor of capturing their wedding day in the breathtaking redwoods of Eureka, California. Their celebration was a perfect blend of their deep connection, the stunning natural beauty of the venue, and the overwhelming love and support from their amazing family and friends.

Nestled amongst towering redwoods, Mitchell Grove was the perfect canvas for Liz and Javi's wedding dreams. The venue's flexibility allowed them to infuse their celebration with personal touches that screamed "them!" The majestic redwoods, lush greenery, and secluded atmosphere created an intimate and romantic setting that was nothing short of magical.

A First Look That Melted Hearts (and Mine!)
Before the ceremony, Liz and Javi shared an intimate and emotional first look beneath the towering redwoods. The way the sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a soft, ethereal glow... it was simply breathtaking! As they laid eyes on each other, their faces lit up with pure joy and excitement. Tears of happiness, tender embraces, and whispered words of love filled the air. It was a moment of such raw emotion and connection that I'll never forget.
This private moment set the tone for the rest of their incredible day. With their hearts overflowing and their nerves calmed, they were ready to walk down the aisle and say "I do."
A Sun-Kissed Ceremony & a Family-Fueled Fiesta
The couple's ceremony took place in a sun-drenched clearing, surrounded by the awe-inspiring presence of giant redwoods. The weather couldn't have been more perfect – bright sunshine, a gentle breeze, and the sweet scent of pine in the air. Liz's brother, officiating the ceremony, added such a personal and heartfelt touch. As they exchanged rings and participated in a traditional lasso ceremony that included both sets of parents, the love and support from their families was palpable.
The reception was an absolute blast! Liz and Javi, with the help of their loved ones, transformed the apple orchard into a charming reception space. Tables were nestled under the trees, creating an intimate and inviting atmosphere. The DIY decorations, lovingly crafted by family and friends, added so much warmth and personality. As the sun began to set,casting a golden glow over the orchard, the magic truly came alive. String lights twinkled, laughter echoed through the trees, and everyone danced the night away under the stars.

A particularly touching moment was when the owners of Mitchell Grove surprised the couple with a bottle of apple wine made from the very trees that surrounded them. It was such a thoughtful gesture that perfectly captured the spirit of their wedding day, a celebration rooted in love, nature, and community.
